General procedures

 

  • Before completing the necessary procedures for import processing, you must check if the goods that you want to import need special certificates. Import without required certificates may result in imposing fines and high storage costs, and even obligating you to return the entire shipment.

  • Check if the goods you want to import are included in the following categories:

  • Goods that meet the conditions under Regulation No. B / A2 / A1 (Link to section 3).

  • Dual use goods (DUGs) (Link to section 4).

  • Standard goods (Link to section 5).

  • It is important to know the classification and coding number (HS number) of each item.

  • There are many ways to find the exact number that classifies and codifies the goods you want to import:

  • Consulting the agent;

  • Referring to the book of Israeli Customs Tariffs (Link);
